released January 3, 2021
Coming soon to all stores by Feb 2021.
Thanks all for the year: we’ll be taking new artists again in time. If not this year, certainly 2021. New artists are always considered, remember that.
For years we have used Bandcamp to sell digital, and even some CDs.
Lately however we have realized that it’s better to sell CDs, Vinyl and other Merch direct to weatnurecords.com
The transition is already happening. Be sure to set your URL bookmarks to our website and check back from time to time as more artist releases are added here.
You will still be able to buy digital releases through our Bandcamp. This ensures that all digital sales are paid to our artists through Bandcamp.
Our goal since day one has been to have records here, this day has finally come.
These are 130 Gram lathe cuts, so the quality is just as good as pressed. We think this is a bright future for our artists here.
Fans will finally be able to hold a piece of history in their hands, and we’re pretty proud of this. This is our official post on the subject.
We’ve been talking about it on social media for a month to you folks, so we’ve finally put the ‘Records’ in WEATNU!
Already a few artists are beginning to release directly on our label with the logo on the product, good times ahead.
In the past weatnu records maintained a steady flow of new artists from year to year. However, this year we are working with the artists we have.
This is to allow for better balance, and since this label is run by one person, artists will be considered in a more manageable way. You are of course allowed to submit and if there is an opening, we will consider you being part of us. We are not focusing on new artists at this time, for this year, but some new artists may be considered mid-year hopefully.
Starting 2020 with a bang! We’ll start to show our artists on Twitch for you to watch them perform live!
This is just another longing for weatnu records since its creation five years ago.
The schedule will be issued soon… stay tuned.

This is the time for maintenance, and vacation. Here’s to an awesome year, now with our magazine and new artists!
Look to our Radio as well. WEATNU [OUR]
(update 12.31.2019) due to the artists we have with us, we’ll have to open our doors a little later than Feb, we do apologize for this, as we feel artists who truly need our help will join us according to the new artist policy. It helps to ensure you know what we’re able to do for you.
Have an awesome New Year!
As of this month of Nov 2019, It is a thrill to see #WEATNU Digital Magazine return to #WEATNU.
During 2015 – 2016, the magazine was a driving force for our label, and now it is permanently part of our website.
Expect, Interviews, Reviews, Articles, Tech articles and more! Already articles are being written, and new writers are being added.
Check it out at the magazine tab in the menu above or simply click here -> https://magazine.weatnurecords.com
New genres hit our label from time to time, as we’ve seen vaporwave, synthwave, synthpop and even indiepop in the last 4 years, so it’s nothing shocking that we found ourselves serving the lo-fi community suddenly. We’re always moving with the underground, because the underground is who we focus on. New music is always springing up there and talent is plentiful worldwide. Thanks to social media and these artists, they have the ability to be heard. One such artist this month, Frapp, from Fayetteville, North Carolina – released his latest EP – April. With deep, sub-bass and hip-hop like 808 hats. The booming bass alone is enough to comfort you on a rainy day. Frapp continues to release new music to weatnu records, so look out for his releases through Bandcamp and Spotify, including streaming platforms.
We are putting together a 2019 playlist on Spotify of our artists. Expect that soon!

With humble beginnings in 2014, #WEATNU started with a mere hashtag and promo through Soundcloud and twitter. Before long, it was realized that the movement itself would benefit from Internet Radio, thus WEATNU [OUR] was born. Our radio was going strong from 2014 – 2016, then closed that year. Thanks to community support, donations and a great need to bring the radio back, it has returned. I personally am happy to see this, because the artists on WEATNU Records, greatly benefit from air play. It’s easier than ever to join our radio, and your music will play 24/7 | 365 days a year. We’re adding new artists each day, and many are playing from right here. Newcomers are more than welcome. Please join us at weatnurecords.com/weatnu-our

Let’s face it, today it’s getting harder to buy music that you can hold affordably. It’s been a great endeavor for our label to give the fans a way to own this great music on records, but with the rising cost of vinyl, and the demand for it, we’ve decided to go down another path, at least until the vinyl bubble bursts. We started with digital and we’re good at it. Musicians like to release under different mediums. USB is one idea we’re thinking about and of course tape. Tape and USB is much more approachable in terms of business, especially for a small indie label. The unattainable (golden) overpriced vinyl record has become like the gold rush all over again. Sure it’s great, it will last forever, or until you break it, melt it or just don’t take take care of it, but people love music no matter what they are holding. The other idea is mini-disc. It’s obscure but it’s nice to have that not-so-lasting medium from the late 90s to mid-early 2000s with your music on it. Look to our future releases in one or all these forms, except vinyl of course.
Released Aug 1, 2018
Vancouver artist NOFVNCITY: arrives on WEATNU Records with their new album Vnity
Follow on Twitter: https://twitter.com/aniKINGmalDOM
This has been a busy year for WEATNU Records, with our recent Summer Compilation #2 with 37 artists onboard, and we have plans for other things to include the community of #WEATNU in a whole. It’s still Summer and during Summer, we need Summer music. Shoegaze, Post-rock and Indie-rock are no strangers here. I personally grew up during the 90s to this music. It’s only fitting the we release an album dedicated to these artists. Cloud Gazing is just that, a compilation with artists who wish to submit their song for release to us, all on one album. This will be our first Cloud Gazing compilation. This requires a non-exclusive agreement to be signed between you and the label. If you would like to take part in this, please contact here at weatnurecords.com/contact page or on twitter at https://twitter.com/WeatnuRecords
It’s going to be fun 🙂
